For the cost of a tube.

For some time now I have had to deal with the wheelbarrow tyre going flat.  The tube has several patches on it from past repairs.  The rubber has dry rotted; you can see a a great number of tiny cracks.  I was able to pump the tyre up and use it for a number of hours before having to once more add air to the tyre.  However, the leak became worst.  Today I removed the tube and found two places that were leaking.  I did not have a patch kit so attempted a "make do" repair that didn't work.  I started searching for tubes to replace the bad one and found they were $10 to $12.  Then I found a listing that had the complete wheel for $14.58 with free shipping.  I try to save every penny I can but this seemed more sensible that just replacing the tube.  Hopefully nothing else will come along requiring my purse to become lighter.

Hope your new wheel has the tubeless tire on it. That is what we have on everything.

I am going to have to go into the lift on the tractor.  I think I can use the cylinder that is in the shed; I don't understand why we didn't use it before but that was some time ago.  Wish Mum was here to ask her.  A gasket kit with new o-ring for the piston is around $10.00.  I should go ahead and order one and have it on hand.  I will have to use the come-along to lift the top of the lift off; me not that strong and it is cast iron; with a helper I think it could just be lifted off.  However, it is just me here and I don't have anyone I can call on.
