Summer's Last Hurrah

Here it is, Labour Day again; the last hurrah of summer.  Summer will soon be over.  It has not been a good summer for me.  My transmission went out on my car on July 3 and remained down until a couple of weeks ago.  I have yet to tally up what I ended up spending on the repairs to the car but it took a big hit on my finances.  While I did not get to enjoy hiking this summer I will enjoy the autumn days hiking the trails that I did not get to hike this summer.

This long weekend proudly brought to you by people who were worked to death in the name of some rich fuckbag getting richer, and who never got to enjoy it (They were too busy working 'till the day they died.).

I saw a lot of people working yesterday; sort of ironic that there is a bank holiday named "Labour Day" that is suppose to be in honour of the American worker but people have to work on this holiday.  Perhaps they should have named it "No Labour Day".

It's to honour workers worldwide, not just American.

Many of whom died at the hands of the owners so you could have things like any time off at all, only 8-hour-long shifts, and overtime pay.
